Sportlich italienischer Klassiker in seltener Farbkombination!
The large 2 liter engine, which has more torque than the smaller ones, revs freely and nicely through the revs, and combined with the higher gear ratio that is only available on the 2000 model, you have a car that performs very well on twisty country roads, but is also capable of going a longer distance on the highway at a good speed. All of this coupled with excellent road manners makes for an excellent overall driver's car package.
This car already rolled off the production line in Milan on April 18, 1975 and was originally to be delivered to the USA. At that time, the German Alfa Romeo importer took over a number of vehicles at the beginning of the 1970s that could not be sold on the North American market due to the oil crisis. They retained U.S. specifications, including fuel-injected engines and U.S.-tuned equipment, including air conditioning. Lights and instruments, on the other hand, were converted to German standards by Alfa Romeo. In 1979, therefore, a gentleman from Holland purchased the car and extensively restored the body in 2005. The whole process is well documented with the attached photos. After this extensive work, the owner decided to sell the GTV due to its age. Through the Dutch car dealer Kantingel B.V. the Alfa came to its last owner, Mr. R.. From 2009 to 2011 all technical parts of the vehicle were renewed and repaired. In addition, the underbody was ice-blasted and sealed. Engine and transmission were overhauled. According to the last owners, the Alfa never let them down and gave them a lot of pleasure.
Elegant design of the 70s meets sporty driving characteristics in a color combination not often seen. The GTV - matured like a good "Vino Rosso".
