This model filled the gap between the BMW 700 and the Baroque Angel series and is the predecessor of the popular 5 Series models. The BMW 1800 was intended to secure the future of the company, which was struggling at the time. The aim was to create an automobile that offered an outstanding combination of sporty driving characteristics, dynamic design and good economy. The 1800 series quickly became the bestseller of its time. BMW was also back in the black economically.

This white BMW 1800 with the rare automatic transmission was registered to an elderly lady in Waiblingen on August 2, 1970 and remained in her possession until 2014. The vehicle was then sold to the current owner in Austria. He had the vehicle thoroughly checked in 2018 and repaired a few things. The engine and gearbox were removed, thoroughly cleaned and sealed. The radiator air wheel was replaced as well as some parts of the headlights and alternator. We have a detailed list of all the work carried out. The current owner has listed and written down everything very meticulously and in detail. All invoices and certificates since the first owner are available to us, even the original service booklet, the owner's manual and the first owner's certificate are part of the documentation.
