With traceable history!
This 57 year old witness of the 1960s was officially purchased as a new car from the Fiat dealer on 14.09.1961 by Mrs. Contessa Anna Fundarò, a noble lady from Palermo. Mrs. Fundarò was born in September 1921 and, like many women of that time, did not have a driver's license, so she basically had her chauffeur drive her. The Fiat 1100 Speciale was serviced at Fiat's headquarters in Palermo, which has been run by Nicola D'Angelo together with his sons since 1958. Out of love for the Contessa, Mr. Nicola D'Angelo, the owner of the Fiat workshop, bought the car from her in 1988 before it could be sold to another interested party. He had it repainted and kept it in his small private collection until recently. Mr. Nicola D'Angelo is now 79 years old and still works with his sons. Furthermore, this Fiat 1100 Speciale is an extremely well known participant of the Sicilian automobile club "Club Vincenzo Florio", which is one of the most important classic car clubs for motor sport events in Sicily. Mr. D'Angelo is still the official mechanic of the club and has participated with the Fiat in many events of the "Coppa Florio Rally". Thanks to the institution "Automobile Club d'Italia" the history of this vehicle is traceable and the Italian vehicle registration document from 1961 is also available to us in the original.
A true classic of the early 1960s, which starts immediately, drives great and is in original condition. Despite the compact dimensions, there is a very good feeling of space inside and even tall people find enough room. Especially as a rear passenger you sit really comfortable.
The vehicle can be visited at any time after prior appointment with us, so that we can ensure that the car is in the appropriate location.
