Only 26.000 km & in super shape!
In the 1980s, Ford attempted to gain a foothold in the luxury class with the Scorpio—everyone knows that the attempt was not particularly successful. The Scorpio was a very good car in terms of quality. In order to give the car a sportier image in the early 1990s, the top-of-the-range engine, a 2.9-liter 24V engine from the English engine manufacturer Cosworth, was available from 1991. This 195 hp engine was only available with automatic transmission. Which luxury cars at that time already had an engine from a racing car manufacturer?
This Scorpio was ordered by the Köpper car dealership in Duisburg and was also registered to the dealership on June 27, 1991. Ultimately, it was decided not to sell the car, so it remained at the dealership and was later taken into private ownership. It served as a display piece for most of the time and was driven regularly, but only very rarely. In September 2022, the vehicle was sold through us to a collector near Vienna. Even there, the Ford has hardly been driven to this day. And so the vehicle is still in its original delivery condition with only 26,300 km on the clock.
I don't think you'll find another one in this condition on the market. The original sales brochure is still in the vehicle, along with the checkbook and all the documents. I can only say: it's an incredible vehicle that you have to see!
