Can you think of any other sedans below an old Rolls-Royce or Bentley that exude as much British flair as a Jaguar Mark II? Not to me. The Jaguar MK II was produced from 1959-1969 and was one of Jaguar's most successful models. With the most powerful 3.8 l engine, the MK II was considered the fastest four-door production car of its time until 1964. This MK II with the smaller 3.4 l engine offers a little less engine power, but you will find the same Jaguar typical quality in it as in the big predatory cats. The high doors and domed roof provide plenty of headroom, and rear passengers don't have to complain about a lack of legroom either. The amount of space in a MK II makes it an ideal family classic car. Of course, you can also drive it alone - the agility of the engine makes it a "self-driving car" anyway. and less of a chauffeur car. To this day, it is still a charming and stylish alternative to the "big tail fin" from Mercedes, and still incomparably sportier than a BMW "Barockengel".

This Mk II was extensively restored in the late 80s. The entire body was disassembled. Damaged parts were replaced and repainted. In the course of this, all rubber seals on the vehicle were also renewed. Also all technical parts were mostly blasted, repainted and/or replaced. On both axles all rubber, springs and brakes were renewed. The transmission was cleaned and all rubbers were renewed. The wooden elements in the interior were renewed. Last but not least, an engine swap was done during the restoration. Thus this Jaguar has been powered by the 3.8 L large engine since the restoration. However, this one caused some problems and after a few years it was rebuilt to the 3.4 L large engine. A detailed listing of all restoration work is of course enclosed with the documentation.

Conclusion

With its round headlights in the curved fenders and the vertical chrome grille at the front, a Jaguar MK II looks like a typical classic car. No one will deny this car its H license plate. Anyone who wants to drive a motor with the characteristics of an English gentleman should not get past this Jaguar MK II.
