Beautiful in Liasgrau with service book and logbook!
It is always fun for me to find former everyday cars in an outstanding condition, with great history. I think with this car, I have once again succeeded very well.
This Mercedes 230 TE was delivered on 6 May 1988 in Giessen to Ulrike L. in Liasgrau and with sunroof. The color Liasgrau was affectionately called "Schwabensilber" at that time, because this color did not cost any extra charge.
The car remained in the family for twelve years until it was finally bought by the retiree Friedrich S. in 2000.
He also kept a logbook in which he recorded every trip, every tank of gas and all special incidents in detail. Among other things, when in 2010 at mileage 160,679, the odometer became defective and a new odometer was installed. The car remained in the Giessen area for its entire lifetime to date and was always registered with the same license plate number. At just under 90 years of age, the retiree finally had to turn in the car and it was then extensively overhauled.
The Mercedes was cleaned from underneath with dry ice, the axles and brakes were completely overhauled and it was also completely repainted once in the original color. A detailed listing of all work is of course available.
A great car for the Mercedes T-Model fan. For me there is no other vehicle to which the catchword "sustainability" would fit better. I look forward to your visit.
