Description

This Swabian haute couture convertible has the power and composure that all other Daimler Benz luxury models had at the time, unagitated appearance, yet stylish and classic. While the 280 and 300 SL models sold better in Germany due to the 6-cylinder tradition, the V8 variants were just what the Americans were looking for. Two cylinders more, but in return there were ram-like bumpers and round headlights in the body. Those who wanted to forget the US history of their Daimler converted the SL. So did the first owner in Germany. He acquired the vehicle in 2019 and had the vehicle optically converted to the European look immediately after purchase.
