Great condition! Full service book!
The flowing shapes and less bulkhead aerodynamics than the W140 saloon create a visually subtle lightness, which is emphasized by the lack of B-pillars. The S-Class Coupe looks as if it has been milled from a solid block and, in terms of quality, belongs to the pinnacle of the automotive industry at the time. Over the course of the seven-year production period, the majority of orders opted for the five-liter V8 and the six-liter V12. Only 2496 of the total of 26,022 coupés were delivered with the "small" eight-cylinder engine, like our vehicle. This makes the CL 420 desirable for collectors and, compared to the 12-cylinder, is also easy on the wallet.
The appearance of this 28-year-old example is exceptionally good. It can be seen that the previous owner, born in 1928, took great care of the vehicle. The condition of the interior matches the overall impression and can be described as exceptionally well-kept. You will look in vain for greasy leather, defective buttons or functions. Even the seat bolsters are still in good condition. The heavy coupe was registered in the Netherlands until 2022 and was then sold to a gentleman in Bochum, Germany. To this day, all inspections have been entered in the checkbook with traceable mileages. We also have an expert opinion from the current owner, as well as a vehicle check which shows that this coupe is accident-free.
