Description

We are pleased to present you another beautiful MGA. This vehicle was first registered in 1960 in the Netherlands by a passionate classic car collector, who fulfilled a great dream with this unique roadster. After many shared experiences with this beautiful vehicle, he decided to sell the MGA to another classic car collector from the Netherlands in order to be able to devote himself to further projects.

In 1998 Mr. V. bought this gorgeous vehicle. He was a passionate collector and saw his passion in rebuilding it to its original condition. Mr. V. dedicated himself to this new project and restored the vehicle completely and "frame-off". A lot of passion as well as time was invested to restore the vehicle to its original condition. To give the MGA a new shine, it was painted in the original British Racing Green color, and the seats were reupholstered in a subtle black to complete the overall look. Mr. V documented the entire restoration with photos to add to the history file. After the project was completed, Mr. V attended regular classic car meets and left a true smile on the faces of the visitors with his perfectly restored MGA.

After some time, Mr. V. decided to sell the vehicle to a classic car exhibitor, where Mr. W. from Selfkant became aware of this unique example. Mr. W is himself a passionate classic car enthusiast and always on the lookout for the perfect vehicles. He put a lot of love and passion into the care of the MG-A. In consultation with the Dutch classic car exhibitor, Mr. W. had the black leatherette seats replaced with the new beautiful high quality beige genuine leather seats to make the vehicle look even more exclusive and high quality. In order to maintain the good condition of the vehicle, he regularly visited a specialist workshop to have the necessary work carried out. Recently, the spark plugs were renewed on the MGA, the brake shoes, the brake cylinders and the cylinder head gaskets were replaced. To date, the car is in wonderful condition and drives really sensational.

Model Information

This 1960 MG MGA is a sports car that MG produced from 1955 to 1962. It is the replacement model of the MG TF and is in really great condition!

The MG MGA was introduced in 1955 at the Frankfurt IAA. The car was also available as a coupe, but it was mainly produced as a roadster. There were 9,887 coupes and 91,194 roadsters, of which there are many different model variants. The car represented a renewal of the brand. The previous model, the MG TF, delivered poor sales figures towards the end of its production, so the company wanted to make a completely new start with a modified design and the same technical basis. The MGA celebrated international success. One new feature of the MGA compared to its predecessor was the engine. Here, the same engine was used that had already been used for the MG Magnette. The power of the four-cylinder in-line engine is transmitted to the rear wheels via the manual four-speed transmission. Furthermore, the driver has more space compared to the TF, which makes the driving experience more pleasant.
