Very rare and incredibly original!

We are pleased to offer this rare and exceptionally original Rover Mini Factory Convertible on behalf of a customer. Finished in the desirable British Racing Green Metallic, this example comes from the final production year of 1996. With just 56,000 kilometres, it presents in remarkably original condition, remaining rust-free, dry and exceptionally well cared for.

Only 1,081 examples were produced between July 1993 and August 1996, with the majority finished in Nightfire Red or Caribbean Blue. The body kit and 12-inch Revolution alloy wheels formed part of the original specification, alongside Recaro seats and the walnut dashboard. Due to the additional strengthening required for the convertible body, the model weighs approximately 50 kilograms more than the saloon.

The car was originally registered as a demonstrator for a well-known company and covered just under 2,000 kilometres during its first two years. In 1998, the Mini was acquired by its previous owner, who subsequently drove it only a limited number of kilometres each year. In 2004, the car received a comprehensive cavity wax treatment carried out by a specialist workshop. Regular servicing and oil changes were also carried out throughout this period.

In 2020, the Mini was acquired by its current owner, who has since invested more than €10,000 in carefully enhancing the car to his personal taste. The complete convertible roof, including the tonneau cover, was renewed, while the interior was extensively retrimmed. In addition to the front seats, the rear bench and all side panels were finished in new leather.

The combination of British Racing Green Metallic with the new saddle-brown leather interior suits this little British classic beautifully and perfectly complements its character. Together with its low mileage, excellent condition and interesting history, this rare factory-built convertible represents a wonderful opportunity to acquire a particularly charming and well-preserved Mini.
