Completely restored condition!
At the end of the T2 era, VW once again reached deep into the equipment box. The special model of the VW T2, called "Silverfish" because of its metallic paint, was built only 1,600 times. In addition to the sunroof and the chrome elements of the L-series, the car was given quilted and upholstered side panels, a continuous headliner and velour seats, an oil thermometer, a fresh air blower and tinted windows. The 2.0-liter, 1970-cubic-inch boxer engine, also found in the Porsche 914 2.0, pushes the Silverfish up to 127 mph. In contrast to the 100 hp in the Porsche, however, VW throttled the engine down to 70 hp via a two-carburetor system. A better equipped van could not be found at the time, certainly not in extravagant silver metallic. This Volkswagen bus was completely restored. Both the technology and the body were completely overhauled and are in immaculate condition. Among other things, the T2 received an additional oil cooler, Porsche pistons, steel braided brake lines and firmer dampers. In general, very good parts quality was taken into account during the restoration. In addition, the engine was given a small power increase to 71kw, so it again almost keeps up with the power figures of the Porsche 914 2.0. Since the restoration, the Silverfish was moved only about 3000 km.
